The Sabha Airport ( Arabic مطار سبها الدولي, English : Sabha Airport ) is the civil and military used airport of Sabha in Libya .

The airport is located southeast of Sabha. The airport site is on the road to the south.

The tower (TWR) sends and receives on the frequency : 119.1  MHz . The airport has various navigation aids. The non-directional radio beacon (NDB) transmits on the frequency: 283  kHz with the identifier: SEB . Incidents

According to ASN, there are two known incidents at the airport.

  • On June 13, 1985, a government machine in Benin burned down . No inmates were killed.
  • In August 1987 a Libyan air force plane was destroyed on landing. The cause of the accident was an incorrectly adjusted altimeter .
