The Sacramento Mather Airport is a civilian airport about 20 kilometers east of the city of Sacramento in California . The airport was until 1993 a military base , which in the last years of operation, the 940th Air Refueling Regiment (940th Air Refueling Wing) was home.

Airport facility

Sacramento Mather Airport occupies 1,163 hectares. The airport has two runways . The longer of the two has the departure direction 4R or 22L and a length of 3445 meters. The shorter runway is aligned parallel and is 1840 meters long.

The airport also has two heliports . The landing areas measure 30 × 30 meters or 9 × 9 meters.
