The bíldudalur airport ( ICAO code : BIBD , IATA code : BIU ) is an uncontrolled airfield near the small Icelandic fishing Bíldudalur in the municipality Vesturbyggð , Westfjords . It is over eight kilometers by road from the town of the same name in Fossfjörður .

Infrastructure

The airfield can only be approached in visual flight , it fulfills the ICAO fire protection category 3 and has APAPI in both approach directions. The airfield offers a landing possibility for helicopters.
