The Þórshöfn Airport (Þórshöfn Airport . Isländ Þórshafnarflugvöllur ) ( IATA: THO ; ICAO: BITN ) is an airport , which is near Þórshöfn in northeast Iceland is. Sometimes the airport is also referred to as Thorshofn Airport .
The airport was originally 4.8 km northeast (66 ° 15'07 "N 15 ° 16'23" W ) of its present location, near Sauðanes and had the ICAO code BITH (but the same IATA code - THO ). The former airport had a slightly shorter gravel runway, which has been closed since the new airport opened.

Incidents
