The airfield Wangen-Lachen is a private airfield on Lake Zurich .

The airfield is located in the Franzrüti area in the municipality of Wangen , Canton Schwyz , and is surrounded by the Nuoler Ried nature reserve .

The aerobatics team Patrouille Suisse of the Swiss Air Force exercises regularly over the airfield. In 1949, the private pilot Armin Nägeli from Lachn, the Küsnacht flight instructor Erich Wenner and the Oberrieder flight pioneer Alfred Comte signed a lease with the comrade Wangen . On June 29, 1950, Erich Wenner landed an aircraft on the grass runway at Wangen airfield for the first time. The runway was paved in 1967 and the airfield is equipped with a VASI approach aid.
