Flight technical working group
Flugtechnische Arbeitsgemeinschaft (FAG) was the unified name of the flying groups at the German engineering schools from 1934 to 1945. The FAGs offered students the opportunity to design, build and fly aircraft.
The FAGs, as well as the Aviation Technical Groups (FFG) of the technical universities, were looked after by the German Aviation Research Institute (DVL). With ample funding, this meant extensive freedom from political indoctrination.
Aviation working groups at engineering schools:
- FAG Berlin (short: FAB; 1936–1945) - Beuth engineering school in the Reich capital , Berlin
- FAG Bremen (1935–1945) - Bremen State Engineering School
- FAG Chemnitz (1927–1945) - State Academy for Technology, Chemnitz
- FAG Darmstadt (forerunner of FAG Thorn; 1938–1939) - Darmstadt State Engineering School
- FAG Essen (-1939)
- FAG Esslingen (1927–1945) - Esslingen State Engineering School
- FAG Friedberg (1937–1940) - Friedberg State Engineering School
- FAG Hamburg (–1945) - Engineering School of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg
- FAG Kiel (-1939)
- FAG Konstanz (1940–1945) - State Engineering School Konstanz
- FAG Magdeburg (–1945) - State Engineering School Magdeburg

- FAG Wismar (1941–1945) - Engineering School of the Seestadt Wismar
As the links below show the label is Flugtechnische Association today some colleges used for the flying groups - and also from Air Sports profit mutual respect without college.
