reception

Charts and awards

The album rose to number 57 on the US Billboard 200 . For one million units sold, Flyleaf was awarded a platinum record on February 22, 2008 .

criticism

The press commented differently on the album. While Paul Portell gave the Christian music website Jesus Freak Hideout almost the full possible number of points with 4.5 stars, both Konstantin Kasakov from Plattentests.de and Greg Prato from Allmusic gave four out of ten and 2.5 out of five possible points rather mediocre to negative reviews. According to Kasakov, the only innovative thing about the album is that “its creators are still not tattooed”. According to Prato, Flyleaf would hardly stand out from the zillions of other bands in the same genre.
