Formose Mendy (born March 23, 1989 in Guédiawaye , Senegal ) is a Guinea-Bissauisch - French football player .

Career

society

Mendy was born in Senegal and moved to Marseille to live with his aunt when he was seven . In France he went through the football schools of different clubs; last but not least that of the RC Lens . At this club he became part of the club's reserve team from 2006. After playing for this team from 2006 to 2008, he was loaned to FC Istres for the 2008/09 season.

From the summer of 2009 he continued his career in Spain and played in succession for the clubs CD Puertollano , Sporting Gijón B and Sporting Gijón . In 2014 he moved to England for Blackpool FC . After a season he moved on to the HJK Helsinki .

In the 2015/16 winter transfer period, Mendy was signed by Turkish second division club Adana Demirspor . He left the Turks after the 2015/16 season. After several months without a club, he moved to Egypt to join the second division Alassiouty SC in January 2017 . For the 2017/18 season he moved to the first division club Raja CA , for whom he came to five missions. In February 2018, Mendy moved to Austria to join the fourth-class Masonry SA . For masonry he made ten appearances in the Vienna City League by the end of the season . For the 2018/19 season he moved to the regional division FC Mauerwerk .

National team

Although Mendy was eligible to play for both the national teams of France and Senegal, he decided to pursue a career in the Guinea-Bissau national team and made his debut for them in 2011.
