Forsmark is a place ( småort ) on the Uppland coast in Sweden .
The place in the municipality of Östhammar has about 60 inhabitants. He is known for the Forsmark nuclear power plant located there , one of three nuclear power plants still in operation in Sweden, which first became known through the discovery of the previously concealed GAU in Chernobyl , later through an accident on July 25, 2006. Forsmark also has the SFR Forsmark nuclear repository . To the west of the nuclear power plant is the converter of the HVDC Fenno-Skan .
