Fotios Papadopulos (born July 1, 1954 in Kilkis ) is a former Greek football player .

Career

Papadopulos came to Germany with his family in 1965 and began playing football for the DJK Adler Dahlhausen club in Bochum. From 1972 he ran for the amateur team of VfL Bochum . In the 1973/74 season , the Greek helped out the professionals who were weakened due to injury. He was substituted on in the games against Hannover 96 and 1. FC Köln . This made him the first foreigner to play for VfL in the Bundesliga . He did not get a contract with Bochum and went to Greece to do his compulsory military service there. During his service he ran for FC Kalamata .
