Fouad Ibrahim

Fouad Naguib Ibrahim (born December 3, 1938 in Damanhur , Egypt ) is a German-Egyptian geographer , emeritus geography professor at the University of Bayreuth . Fouad Ibrahim is known to a wider audience for his studies of the land of Egypt, which he published in the Scientific Book Society . He became known in professional circles for his Darfur studies ; His habilitation thesis “Desertification in North Darfur”, which introduced the term desertification from French and English into German-speaking geography and agricultural science, should be mentioned here in particular .
