Fouad Idabdelhay (born May 2, 1988 in Bergen op Zoom ) is a Dutch football player who also has Moroccan citizenship.

Career

In his youth, Idabdelhay played in local clubs near his birthplace before moving to the youth academy of NAC Breda . On September 29, 2007 he made his debut in the Eredivisie on matchday six against PSV Eindhoven , when he was substituted on in the 90th minute of the game. On matchday 16, in his second competitive game, the young center forward came on in the 46th minute against Sparta Rotterdam and scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute to make it 1-0 and at the same time his first league goal. By the end of the season, Idabdelhay scored a total of six goals in 18 league games.

In the 2008/09 season, performances stagnated with only three in 19 games for Breda. Against Rosenborg Trondheim , Idabdelhay made his European debut in the UI Cup . For the 2009/10 season he was loaned to RKC Waalwijk , on matchday six he made his debut for his new club against Sparta Rotterdam. In total, he scored three goals in 29 missions this season and returned to his home club after the season ended.

In the 2010/11 season Idabdelhay played 19 times for Breda, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His contract was not renewed at the end of the season. He then signed a two-year contract with VfL Osnabrück , which was valid until June 30, 2013 for the third and second leagues. In January 2012, the club announced the player without notice; the reason given was "a large number of breaches of contractual obligations". After the dissolution in Osnabrück, he moved to the land of his ancestors in Morocco . Idabdelhay played for OC Khouribga in Morocco before returning to the Netherlands for FC Dordrecht in February 2013 . He played 10 games in the second half of the Jupiler League and scored 3 goals before going to Cyprus to AEL Limassol on the penultimate day of the 2013/2014 transfer period .
