Olympique Khouribga is a Moroccan football club from Khouribga . The home games are played in the Stade du Phosphate , which has a capacity of 11,000 spectators.

history

The association was founded in 1923. At that time it consisted mainly of French members. It was not until 1982 that the club was promoted to the Groupement National de Football , the highest league in Morocco, for the first time . In 2005/2006, Olympique striker Mamadou Ba Camara was named the best goalscorer of the season with 9 goals. After the club had already reached the final of the Moroccan Cup four times, Olympique won this competition for the first time in 2006 - 1-0 against Hassania Agadir . In 1996 the club was eligible to participate in the Arab Cup Winners' Cup, even though they had not won the national cup. In the cup winners' competition, the team made it into the final, where they defeated Al-Faisaly from Jordan 3-1. Shortly afterwards they played against the Egyptian club al Ahly Cairo for the Arab Super Cup . However, Olympique lost in this encounter. In the league, attacker Mamadou Ba Camara secured the title of best attacker. More than two decades after the first ascent, ie in 2007 , the club was able to win the GNF 1 , the national championship, for the first time . Top club FAR Rabat were relegated to second place with a seven point lead. This secured the club participation in the CAF Champions League 2008 . In the first round of the competition, the team prevailed 2-0 and 2-0 against Sporting Clube de Bissau . With a success against the Algerian club ES Sétif , the team moved into the round of 16, where they failed after 0-0 away and 1-1 at home against ASEC Mimosas . In 2007/08 they finished sixth in the league and missed every participation in an international tournament.
