The Fountain of Wishes is a bronze sculpture of a urinating police officer in Osnabrück . Often he is also called the peeing police officer or Osnabrück's Manneken Pis . The bronze figure stands in the city ​​center in the river Hase at the Çanakkale Bridge, named after Osnabrück's twin town. Opposite on Schillerstrasse is the Haarmannsbrunnen .

The bronze sculpture of the peeing policeman was Fernando Sánchez Castillo's contribution to the COLOSSAL art project . The art project took place in 2009 for the 2000th anniversary of the Varus Battle in the entire Osnabrück region. Castillo created four works of art for this project: Franko and Ross hit the ceiling (Bad Essen), Franco Up Down (Bohmte). Franko and horse sunk in the ground (Kalkriese) and Fountain of Wishes (Osnabrück). Other art objects of the art project by other artists are the battle drums in front of the main train station or the symbols of peace that are distributed throughout the region.

The first location of the bronze sculpture was on the Conrad-Bäumer -brücke between Herrenteichswall and Carolinum grammar school . After the Herrenteichslaischaft and the fashion house L + T Lengermann und Trieschmann bought the sculpture for 45,000 euros at the end of 2011, it moved to the Çanakkale Bridge in 2012. On April 29, 2012, the three-ton bronze sculpture was moved to its new location using a truck-mounted crane. For the move, the water level of the hare had to be briefly lowered with the hare weir in order to place the sculpture.
