Fernando Sánchez Castillo
Fernando Sánchez Castillo (* 1970 in Madrid ) is a Spanish artist .
Life
Sanchez Castillo studied fine arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and philosophy at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid . He received scholarships in Santander (Fundación Marcelino Botín Grant, 2000), Madrid (Beca de generación Caja Madrid, 2002), Amsterdam (Rijksakademie 2005/06) and Dresden (Foundation "Art and Music for Dresden", 2015)
In 1999 he took part in the Abracadabra exhibition in the Tate Modern in London , in 2001 he exhibited in the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg and in 2003 in the MoMA PS1 in New York . Sánchez Castillo was represented with his work at the São Paulo Biennale in the Brazilian city of São Paulo in 2004 . In 2006 and 2007 he exhibited a retrospective of his work at the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam .
