The Fournier Bay ( French Baie de l'Amiral Fournier and Baie Fournier ) is a bay on the northeast coast of the Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago . It is located immediately west of the Briggs Peninsula .
The German polar explorer Eduard Dallmann probably discovered them during his Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1873 to 1874. It was mapped during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . He named the bay after the French admiral François Ernest Fournier (1842–1934).
