The Thamyris Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Тамирис lednik Tamiris ) is a 3 km long and 2.8 km wide glacier on the Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the eastern slopes of the Trojan Range in a north-easterly direction to Fournier Bay , which it reaches south of Predel Point and north of Madzharovo Point .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2009 after the singer Thamyris from the Iliad after Homer .
