Fousy

Fousy (actually Fawzi Yamouni ) is a German rapper and producer of Algerian origin from Siegen . Characteristic for Fousy is the own composition and production of his songs, which can be assigned to the music genre Hip-Hop and Trap , as well as the use of the AutoTune effect in his songs. Since 2017 he has been under contract with the ALMAZ MUSIQ label of the Heidelberg rapper Kurdo .

biography

At a young age, Fousy and his parents fled the civil war from their place of birth in Oran in Algeria to Germany in the south-Westphalian city of Siegen . Fousy had no prospects after graduating from school. The musical works of the Rai legends Cheb Khaled and Cheb Mami have been Fousy's companions since he was a child in Algeria , but it was only after his first contact with hip-hop that he became musically active. Inspired by these sounds, Fousy began to learn about music production programs and to write his own music.

Music career

The producer, rapper and singer merges North African rhythm with modern American-inspired trap influences on his songs . At the beginning of 2017 Kurdo became aware of a demo recording and secured Fousy for his label ALMAZ MUSIQ. The signing was announced on December 15, 2017 through a trailer on the ALMAZ MUSIQ YouTube channel. On March 2nd, 2018 Fousy's first release was released via ALMAZ MUSIQ with the title "20Mille EP". This release contains 7 songs in EP format and is only available digitally for download and streaming . The songs " 20MIDJ ", " Sinaloa Kartell (featuring Kurdo )", " Sicario " & " Narcos " were released in advance and formed the " 20 Mille EP " with the titles " Amen Bro ", " No Never " & " Mios ". In April 2018, the " 20 Mille EP " was voted 8th among the best releases in March out of 49 hip-hop publications in the user voting on the German hip-hop portal Hiphop.de . On May 18, 2018 Kurdo released the single and the accompanying music video for " Bugatti Veyron " produced by Fousy in collaboration with Kostas Karagiozidis . Even the former Almaz-Signing Payy grabbed for his single "Hayat" , which was released on March 29, 2019 , on a beat of Fousy back. On April 12, 2019, Fousy released his debut album entitled "Alélo" on Kurdo's ALMAZ MUSIQ label, distributed by Universal Music / Urban, with guest contributions from Kurdo, Majoe , Payy & Ardian Bujupi . The album songs " Magnum " feat. Kurdo, " Alélo ", " As usual " and " One Million " were released in advance, including music videos, on the ALMAZ MUSIQ YouTube channel. Fousy's debut album was only distributed digitally. After the release of his debut album, Fousy released a total of five digitally distributed singles with "Himalaya" , "Nachts um 4" , "Drip & Mula" , "Mai Tai" and "MHH" , each with a music video, in the case of "MHH" " an animation.
