Frédéric Guérouet

Frédéric Guérouet (born November 11, 1959 ) is a French accordionist , cellist and composer.

Guérrouet had lessons from his father from the age of six and later from Médard Ferrero . At the age of eleven, he appeared in a TV show from the Salle Pleyel . After Ferrero's death in 1972 he became a student of Joe Rossi . He also took cello lessons from Fernando Kolrush and later from Erwan Fauré at the Aubervilliers Conservatory.

He continued his education at the Kiev Conservatory, where he studied accordion with Vladimir Vladimirovitch Biesfamilnov, cello with Maria Tchaikovskaya , a student of Mstislav Rostropovich , composition with Nicolai Dremliouga and instrumentation with Gleb Taranov . During this time he was u. a. twice prizewinner at the Klingenthal International Accordion Competition .

After his return, Guérouet performed as an accordionist at numerous festivals in France, throughout Europe, Japan and Hong Kong. He accompanied Barbara Hendricks , formed a duo with the euphonium player Ivan Milhiet and worked with musicians such as Renaud Capuçon , Stéphanie Degan , Henri Demarquette , Augustin Dumay , Olivier Martinez , Jérome Pernoo , Pierre Strauch and the Quartet d'Accordéons de Paris (with Richard Galliano , Valérie Guérouet and Joë Rossi ) together.

As a cello soloist he performed a. a. at Tivoli in Copenhagen, Bratislava and Buenos Aires and worked with chamber music a. a. with Alain Raës , Jean-Charles Capon and Pierre Michelot . With the Ensemble Intervalles he played works by composers of the 20th century such as Jean-Yves Bosseur , Bernard Wystraëte , Albert Roussel , Florent Schmitt , Egberto Gismonti , Astor Piazzolla and Heitor Villa-Lobos .

Guérouet composed some works for the accordion and wrote the accordion school L'ABC de l'accordéon .
