Frühlinghausen is a locality of Garbeck , a district of the Sauerland town of Balve . In 2012 the place had 140 inhabitants.

The Frühlinghauser Bach flows through the village, which rises about 1400 meters west of the town center and flows into the Hönne . Springhausen is connected to the national road network via Kreisstraße 12. The nearby Frühlinghauser cave is named after the village .

Frühlinghausen is first mentioned at the end of the 12th century as "Vredelinghusen in parrochia Balve". In the following years the names Frölinckhausen (1533), Frolingkhuißen (1536), Frolinckhaußen (1543), Frolinghausen (1565) and Frolingkhußen (around 1585) are found. In the middle of the 16th century, a document of the parish Affeln von Frühlinghausen (Frolynckhusen) in the parish of Balve speaks.
