Precociousness
A person is called prematurity who is or has passed through a significant stage of development particularly quickly, due to special support in developing skills or due to their condition.
On the one hand, this can have an impact in the form of special talent , for example in the case of “ child prodigies ” in the fields of music and art, mathematics or language skills , and on the other hand as an abnormality in social behavior - e.g. B. in the case of sexual precocity or a prudish way of speaking , which is modeled on adults, and the like.
In the arts there are a few special prizes for unusually early talent , for example in the cabaret competition of the Prix Pantheon in the categories “Premature and corrupt”.
The pathological precociousness of the external sexual characteristics ( pubertas praecox ) is based on organic causes, such as disturbances in the hormonal balance .
In nature there are precocious phenomena, for example in fruit formation (e.g. of trees, when the environmental conditions deteriorate and the tree forms premature seeds ) or in special crossings that are also brought about in some breeds - e.g. B. in the case of special flavors of grapevines or in the breeding of pets .
As a quick-maturing , however, is a natural process, particularly in the Botany referred to the example in early cherries is known or some other timbers in early in ripening raspberries or in some species when the pineal gland developed unusually fast.
