François-Xavier Maroy Rusengo (born September 1, 1956 in Bukavu ) is Archbishop of Bukavu .

Life

The Archbishop of Bukavu, Aloys Mulindwa Mutabesha Mugoma Mweru , ordained him as a priest on August 19, 1984 . Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Thucca in Mauretania and auxiliary bishop in Bukavu on November 22, 2004 .

The Apostolic Nuncio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo , Giovanni d'Aniello , donated him episcopal ordination on January 16 of the next year ; Co - consecrators were Cardinal Frédéric Etsou-Nzabi-Bamungwabi CICM , Archbishop of Kinshasa , and Charles Kambale Mbogha AA , Archbishop of Bukavu.

He was appointed Archbishop of Bukavu on April 26, 2006 and was introduced to the office on June 18 of the same year.
