François Favreau

François-Marie-Christian Favreau (born November 15, 1929 in Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe , Vienne department , France ) is Bishop Emeritus of Nanterre .

Life

François-Marie-Christian Favreau was ordained a priest on June 30, 1952 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on November 24, 1972 titular bishop of Turres Ammeniae and auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Bayonne . He was ordained episcopal on January 20, 1973 by the Bishop of Poitiers , Henri Vion ; Co- consecrators were Marius Maziers , Archbishop of Bordeaux and Jean Vincent , Bishop of Bayonne .

Paul VI appointed him on October 7, 1977. to Coadjutor Bishop of La Rochelle . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Nanterre on September 8, 1983, and on June 18, 2002 he accepted his resignation due to health reasons.
