Jacques Louis Antoine Marie David (born December 22, 1930 in Saint-Aubin-la Plaine , France , † December 19, 2018 in Les Herbiers ) was Bishop of Évreux .

Life

Jacques David was ordained a priest on June 29, 1956 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Bordeaux and titular bishop of Girba on July 27, 1981 . The Bishop of Luçon , Charles-Auguste-Marie Paty , ordained him episcopal on September 26th of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers , Archbishop of Bordeaux, and Jean-Charles Thomas , Bishop of Ajaccio .

On February 21, 1985 he was appointed Bishop of La Rochelle . On February 2, 1996, he was appointed Bishop of Évreux by John Paul II. On January 28, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
