Jean-Charles Thomas
Jean-Charles Thomas (born December 16, 1929 in Saint-Martin-des-Noyers ) is former Bishop of Versailles .
Life
Jean-Charles Thomas was ordained a priest on July 5, 1953 . Paul VI appointed him on March 13, 1972 auxiliary bishop in Aire and Dax and titular bishop of Gemellae in Numidia .
The Bishop of Luçon Charles-Auguste-Marie Paty donated him episcopal ordination on May 1st of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers , Archbishop of Bordeaux and André Pierre Louis Marie Fauchet , Bishop of Troyes .
On February 4, 1974, he was appointed Bishop of Ajaccio . John Paul II named him Coadjutor Bishop of Versailles on December 23, 1986 . After the resignation of Louis-Paul-Armand Simonneaux , he succeeded him on June 4, 1988 as Bishop of Versailles. He resigned from his office on January 11, 2001.
