François Leleux

François Leleux [ fʀɑ̃ˈswa ləˈlø ] (born July 1971 in Croix ) is a French oboist , conductor and professor .

biography

Leleux began playing the oboe at the age of six with Daniel Pieru at the Roubaix Conservatory . At the age of 14 he switched to the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP), where he unanimously won the first prizes in the oboe and chamber music categories in the classes of Pierre Pierlot and Maurice Bourgue .

François Leleux has won numerous international competitions, including those in Munich , Prague , Trieste , Manchester and Toulon , as well as the Prix ​​Européen Juventus .

In addition to his international career as a soloist, Leleux also takes part in orchestral life. He was a member of the Orchester National de France and the Youth Orchestra of the European Community under the direction of Claudio Abbado . At the age of 18, François Leleux became the first solo oboist at the Paris Bastille Opera . Four years later he moved to the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra as solo oboist , and is currently a professor at the Munich University of Music and Theater . He has also been a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe since 2003 .

Leleux attaches great importance to chamber music , he is a member of the woodwind octet of the Paris Bastille Opera, which won the first international prize of the city of Paris just a month after it was founded. He has completed numerous international concert tours as part of the Les Vents Français ensemble .

François Leleux is married to the violinist Lisa Batiashvili and has a daughter and a son.
