Joel Soisson

Joel Soisson (born August 10, 1956 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer , director and screenwriter .

Life

Soisson began his work in the film business as a sound assistant in 1980. He then worked as a simple cameraman and as a production assistant. 1983 Soisson wrote his first screenplay ( Hambone and Hillie ) and thus began his career as a screenwriter.

As a director and producer is mostly known in connection with inexpensive direct-to-video productions . He made his directorial debut in 2005 with God's Army IV - The Revelation . His main field of activity in the film business is film production, his work here includes around 50 productions. Well-known film series, in the sequels of which he participated, are the children of Zorns and Hellraiser - The Gate to Hell .

As a director as well as a producer, he is primarily active in the horror genre. He has directed nine films so far.
