action
Mattie watches her boyfriend Josh change and then commit suicide. You and your friends will continue to receive messages and emails from his computer with the subject “Help me”. After opening the message, a video plays in which you can watch the suicides of others. Mattie is the only one who doesn't open these messages, but her shock at her boyfriend's suicide turns into fear.
She and her friends try to track down the computer and stumble upon Dexter, who has found videos of Josh that explain in part what is going on. Josh and his friend Zieglar have experimented with a method of data transfer and thus opened a border to the dead. The dead come when you use any kind of wireless network, appear as shadow figures, and want something that only humans have - life. They suck people's will to live when you look at them. Red tape on windows and doors keeps them away from the apartment. The people whose will to live they have taken away from them get bruises until they turn to dust or kill themselves. Mattie and Dexter have found Josh's USB stick with a virus and try to shut down the server, but the system can start up again.
In the end Mattie and Dexter leave town and Mattie talks about the fact that their will to live never dies, and neither does that of the dead.
