François Longchamp
François Longchamp (born February 19, 1963 in Geneva , resident in Collonge-Bellerive ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).
Life
Longchamp has been at the University of Geneva , the licentiate in law obtained and was then as Secretary General of the Department of Health and Welfare operates. From 2002 to 2005 he was General Director of Foyer-Handicap .
He took on his first political mandate in 2004 when he was appointed President of the FDP in Geneva. A year later, on November 13, 2005, he was elected to the State Council of the Canton of Geneva , where he heads the Département de la solidarité et de l'emploi . In 2018 he resigned from the State Council. From December 2008 to December 2009 he was Vice President of the State Council. He is President of the Conference of the Western Swiss Cantonal Governments WRK / CGSO .
Longchamp is single and lives in Prangins , in the canton of Vaud .
