François Thibodeau

François Thibodeau CIM (born July 27, 1939 in Saint-Odilon ) is a Canadian clergyman and former bishop of Edmundston .

Life

François Thibodeau joined the religious order of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary and was ordained a priest on May 8, 1965 .

Pope John Paul II named him Bishop of Edmundston on October 22, 1993. The bishop emeritus of Edmundston, Gérard Dionne , donated him episcopal ordination on January 9 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Donat Chiasson , Archbishop of Moncton , and Fernand Lacroix CIM, Bishop Emeritus of Edmundston.

He resigned from his office on January 5, 2009.
