Françoise Pollet

Françoise Pollet (born September 10, 1949 in Boulogne-Billancourt , Hauts-de-Seine ) is a French opera singer ( soprano ) and vocal teacher.

Life

After studying violin , she began studying singing with Ernst Haefliger at the Munich University of Music . She made her debut in 1983 in the role of Marschallin in Richard Strauss' opera Der Rosenkavalier at the Lübeck Theater .

Françoise Pollet made an international career and was voted Opera Singer of the Year in 1994 by Victoires de la musique classique .

Her extensive repertoire ranges from Berlioz and Verdi to Messiaen and Boulez .

Françoise Pollet has taught at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique in Lyon since 2002 , she is Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres .
