Francesco Napoli , real name Francesco Napolitano (born February 26, 1962 in Italy ), is an Italian singer , pianist and guitarist .

biography

The son of an opera singer first studied law for a few semesters. After gaining experience in a band at a young age, he won a music festival in Naples . An organizer became aware of the young artist and initiated a tour through Germany .

Napoli released three disco singles that received little attention. In 1986 the big breakthrough followed with the Medley Balla… Balla! published in 44 countries. Sales of over 12 million records made the Italian an international star. He was particularly popular in Spain and France .

In the next few years, some of his songs became hits, e. B. Notte chiara . The title Lady Fantasy reached the Spanish Top 10 in 2002 and became the most played radio hit of the year.

After Francesco Napoli sang in English, French, Spanish and Italian so far, he produced a German-language album with the help of producers and copywriters such as Hanne Haller and Bernd Augener . Working with a Polish agency made him very popular in Poland in 2006 .

In 2010 the album Esistere was released , which u. a. was produced in Berlin, London and Düsseldorf. There are two duets on it, one with Laura del Conte and a second with Ianna .
