Francesco Petrozzi
Francesco Petrozzi (* 1962 in Lima ) is a Peruvian opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
Francesco Petrozzi comes from Peru and made his debut at the age of 19 with the role of Dancairo in Carmen at the Teatro Municipal de Lima. The tenor then completed a vocal course in Munich. In 1994 Francesco Petrozzi made his US debut as Jaquino in Fidelio . Since 1997 the tenor has also been singing in European concert halls and theaters. B. at the Aalto-Theater Essen, in Graz, Linz, Prague, Amsterdam, Brno, Vienna, Tokyo or with the Dorset Opera Company in England.
His roles include u. a. Don José ( Carmen ), Enzo Grimaldo ( La Gioconda ), Radames ( Aida ), Cavaradossi ( Tosca ), Rodolfo ( La Bohème ), Alfred ( Die Fledermaus ), Jaquino ( Fidelio ) and Hagenbach ( La Wally ). In Toronto he sang Giuseppe Hagenbach in a concert performance of “La Wally”.
