Francis Arthur Carvalho
Francis Arthur Carvalho (born December 2, 1886 in Villenour , French India , † August 2, 1979 ) was an Indian Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Madras-Mylapore .
Life
Francis Arthur Carvalho received on 11 March 1911, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On December 13, 1952, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as titular bishop of Demetrias and auxiliary bishop in Madras-Mylapore. The Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, Louis Mathias SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on March 19, 1953 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Bangalore , Thomas Pothacamury , and the Bishop of Tiruchirappalli , James Mendonça .
Pope Paul VI 1965 accepted the resignation put forward by Francis Arthur Carvalho for reasons of age.
