Sir Francis Edwards, 1st Baronet (also Frank Edwards ; born April 28, 1852 , † May 10, 1927 ), was a Welsh nobleman and politician.

Francis Edwards was the fourth son of Edward Edwards from Llangollen . He attended Shrewsbury School and studied at Jesus College , Oxford , where he graduated in 1875. He became Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Radnorshire , and in 1898 he served as High Sheriff . As a candidate for the Liberal Party , he was elected Member of Parliament for Radnorshire in the general election in 1892 , but was not re-elected in 1895. In 1900, 1906 and in the December 1910 election he was re-elected as MP for Radnorshire. In the House of Commons, he particularly campaigned for the separation of the Anglican Church from the state. On July 25, 1907, he was promoted to Baronet , of Knighton in the County of Radnor . He did not run again in the 1918 general election.

In 1913 he published a collection of Welsh poetry that he had translated into English. In 1880 he had married Catherine Davis, the younger daughter of mining entrepreneur David Davis from Aberdare . He had a daughter with her. His title expired with his death.
