Trivia

Agatha Christie often used real building objects for her novels. So also in The Owl House . Here the house of Francis L. Sullivan served in the county of Surrey as a model and Christie dedicated the novel to him and his wife: "For Larry and Danae - with the apology that I have used their pool as a crime scene." Sullivan, however, learned only when it was completed, when Agatha Christie had given him an advance copy with a dedication.
