In addition, the club was also successful at national level and made it into the finals of the national cup several times, which ultimately led to the national cup final in 1932 . In the final, Roux did not concede a goal and thus made his contribution to the 1-0 victory that brought him his first title win at national level. In the same year a nationwide professional league was introduced with Division 1 and the southern French AS Cannes should be one of the founding members. Roux was on September 11, 1932 in the 5: 5 opening game against SC Fiveson the pitch and retained the number one role between the posts for the entire opening season. At the end of the season, the team was in the final of the national championship against Olympique Lille , but had to admit defeat 3: 4. Despite his role as a professional and the associated payment of initially 1200 French Francs per month, which corresponded to an above-average salary, he worked part-time as a representative of the cheese industry; at times his footballer's wages rose to around 5000 francs.

At Cannes, the player kept his position until he moved to league rivals Racing Paris in 1935 . There he became the first goalkeeper and as such he won the French championship in 1936 . At the same time he made it to the national cup final in 1936 , although his competitor Rudolf Hiden was preferred. Accordingly, he was not involved in the 1-0 success of his teammates against FCO Charleville . Then you mostly bet on Hiden in Paris and Roux spent a year as number two before he went to the second division FC Toulouse in 1937 . At Toulouse it was set until the beginning of the Second World War in 1939 brought regular gaming to a standstill. In the same year, the goalkeeper, who was able to continue his career despite the war, signed with OGC Nice , with whom he took part in the unofficial competition for the championship. In 1941 he ended his career at the age of 33 after 100 first division games and 70 second division games due to the difficult circumstances in the south of France, which was ruled by the Vichy regime . He then worked as a sports teacher.
