Francisco Bográn Barahona (* around 1852 in Pinalejo , Santa Bárbara Department ; † December 7, 1926 in New Orleans ) was President of Honduras from October 5, 1919 to January 31, 1920 .

Life

His parents were Saturnina Barahona Leiva and Saturnino Bográn Bonilla. He was married to Guillermina Leiva. Francisco Bográn was Dr. of human medicine and member of the Partido Liberal de Honduras .

In October 1911, presidential elections for the 1912-1916 term were held. The winner was Manuel Bonilla , and his deputy was Francisco Bográn Barahona. A few days before taking office, Francisco Bográn Barahona submitted his resignation on January 22, 1912. Thus, Francisco Bertrand Barahona vice president and later president.

As a result of the civil war in Honduras in 1919 , Bográn became the de facto president.
