Francisco Gallardo León , called Paco Gallardo (born January 13, 1980 in Seville ) is a former Spanish football player .

Player career

Seville

Paco Gallardo started his career as a footballer at Sevilla FC, for whom he also played in his youth. From 1998 to 2000 he played for two years for the reserve team of the Andalusians. Then he moved up to the professional team. Between 2000 and 2004 he played 118 times for FC and scored eight goals. In his first professional season he rose to the top of the table with Sevilla FC. Due to the growing competition, Gallardo played less and less.

Loan player

So it happened that he was loaned to first division promoted Getafe FC for the 2004/2005 season. There he was able to play a little more than half of the league games and he also scored a goal. Nevertheless, Seville did not need him at first and loaned him to the Portuguese first division club Vitória Guimarães . He was not happy there and half a year, like two missions later, Paco Gallardo left the club again to play for the Spanish first division club Deportivo La Coruña one more time on loan.

Real Murcia

For the 2006/2007 season, Paco Gallardo was awarded again, now for the third year in a row. At the Spanish second division Real Murcia , he could not really prevail, so that a return to Seville was impossible. In the summer of 2007 he finally signed with Murcia, with whom he had been promoted the previous year. In the 2007/08 season he was used only irregularly and rose again with his team at the end of the season. He was then without a club for a few months before Real Murcia hired him again in March 2009. There he came on a few short assignments in the 2008/09 season .

SD Huesca

From summer to November 2009 Gallardo was again without a club for a few months before he was hired by SD Huesca in the Segunda División . There he was mostly on the bench for the next two seasons and came on as a substitute. With his team he played in the lower midfield.

Change to Hungary

In the summer of 2011, Gallardo left Huesca and moved to Diósgyőri VTK in Hungary. With the promoted team he secured relegation in the 2011/12 season. The following season also ended in midfield. Gallardo could not secure a permanent place in the team in these two years and often had to take a seat on the bench. In 2013 he joined newly promoted Puskás Akadémia FC . He ended his career in the summer of 2014.
