Francisco Ramírez Gámez (born November 28, 1965 in Huásavas , Sonora ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender , who was active as a coach after his active career .
Life
player
Ramirez began his professional career in the ranks of the Coyotes Neza , where he stayed until they left the Primera División at the end of the 1987/88 season. He then moved to local rivals Atlante and finally came via Puebla , Necaxa and Veracruz to Cruz Azul , his last station as a professional football player. For this club he played his last first division game against his former club Necaxa on March 11, 1998, which ended 1: 1.
Trainer
After a few positions as assistant coach, including in the ranks of the Mexican national team , Ramírez was first entrusted with the role of head coach at his club, Chivas Guadalajara, in the 2009 Clausura . He made his debut on April 19, 2009 in a Superclásico against arch-rivals America , who won 1-0. But because there was only one more win (2-0 against Querétaro on August 15, 2009) and another low point was reached with the 4-0 defeat at San Luis FC on September 12, 2009, Ramírez was after eleven games ( with four draws and five defeats) replaced by Luis Manuel Díaz .
In July 2010 Ramírez was hired as assistant coach of his former club Tiburones Rojos Veracruz and in October 2011 he trained as head coach of his former club Necaxa, where he had been assistant coach from the beginning of 2011. Since May 2012 he has been the head coach of the second division side Dorados de Sinaloa . With the club he was able to win the Copa México after its reintroduction in the Apertura 2012. In the final, the club prevailed against league rivals UAT Correcaminos on penalties with a score of 5: 4 after a 2-2 draw after regular time.
