Franco Giongo (born July 7, 1891 in Bologna , † December 28, 1981 ) was an Italian athlete whose specialty was the sprint .
Franco Giongo was Italian champion eleven times in his career. He won five championships in the 100-meter run (1910, 1911, 1912, 1914 and 1923), two championships in the 200-meter run (1914 and 1923), and another four championships in the 400-meter run (1910, 1911, 1912 and 1914).
At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 , Giongo competed in these three disciplines. He reached the semi-finals over 100 meters , and three days later over 200 meters . In the 400 meter competition , he was eliminated in the preliminary round.
