Franco Montemurro

Franco Montemurro (actually Francesco Montemurro ; born November 1, 1920 in Naples , † 1992 in Rome ) was an Italian assistant director and film director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Montemurro began to work as an assistant editor ; from 1951 he began an extensive activity as an assistant director (very often for Dino Risi ). In 1962 he finally directed his first of five genre films, mostly of an adventurous nature. He used the pseudonym Jean Monty for his two Zorro films .
