Franco Narducci (* 2. October 1947 in Santa Maria del Molise , province of Isernia ) is an in Switzerland living abroad Italian trade unionists and politicians .

Life

After graduating from the secondary school for geometers , Franco Narducci began studying economics and trade at the University of Naples . In 1970 he interrupted his studies and emigrated to Switzerland. There he initially worked in construction and was also active in social policy, especially in migrant organizations such as the Catholic workers' movement ACLI.

Sociopolitical career

After emigrating to Switzerland, Franco Narducci dealt in the social policy area with issues related to employment , especially in the area of adult and further education . As part of the ACLI, he led various professional training courses. For this purpose, he completed an educational and methodological training at the Swiss Institute for Vocational Education.

From 1981 to 1986 he headed the education center of the ACLI, the ENAIP, of the canton of Aargau and from 1985 to 1996 that of the canton of Zurich . At the same time, he was director of the national ENAIP and, in this role, worked in cooperation with Swiss institutions to promote the professional integration of Italian immigrants into Swiss professional life. From 1996 to 2006 Franco Narducci worked in the Swiss trade union Syna , most recently as foreigners coordinator and vice-president.

At the same time, he was active in various Italian organizations abroad and has been Secretary General of the General Council of Italians Abroad (Consiglio Generale degli Italiani all'Estero, CGIE) in Rome since 1998 and President of the national ACLI in Switzerland since 2004.

Political career

The change in Italian electoral law in 2002, which introduced constituencies abroad and gave Italians abroad their own parliamentary seats, gave Franco Narducci the opportunity to run for a parliamentary seat in the 2006 Italian parliamentary elections. With these he stood for the list L'Unione and reached the entry into the Italian Chamber of Deputies .

In the early parliamentary elections of 2008 , Franco Narducci was re-elected as a representative of the Partito Democratico . In the parliamentary elections of 2013 , Narducci ran again, but missed the election.
