Franco Sensi (actually Francesco, born July 29, 1926 in Rome ; † August 17, 2008 there ) was an Italian entrepreneur.

Since 1993 he has been the owner and 18th President of the football club AS Roma S.pA. As an entrepreneur, he was active in the oil industry (among other things, he owned the Italpetroli company ). He was the owner of several Italian daily newspapers and, as a representative of the Democrazia Cristiana party, mayor of the Marcheggian city ​​of Visso .

Sensi was best known for his connection with AS Roma, of which he became the majority owner in May 1993. He then took over the remaining shares and became president of the club on November 8 of the same year. During his presidency, AS Roma became Italian champions in 2000/01 and then won the runner-up four times. The club also won the Coppa Italia in 2006/07 and 2007/08 , and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2001 and 2007 .

The entrepreneur died in a clinic in Rome at the age of 82 after a long illness.

Sensi's daughter Rosella Sensi was managing director and then the first president of AS Roma until 2008 - one of the few women in management positions in the football industry.
