Franco Sibilla
Franco Sibilla (born May 5, 1923 in Turin , Italy , † August 12, 2008 in Genoa , Italy) was Bishop of Asti .
Life
Franco Sibilla, son of an old Genoese family, was ordained priest on June 29, 1952.
In 1974 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed Bishop of Savona e Noli . The episcopal ordination donated him on September 29, 1974 his predecessor in the episcopate Giovanni Battista Parodi ; Co- consecrators were Luigi Maverna , Bishop of Chiavari, and Lorenzo Vivaldo , Bishop of Massa Marittima. Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Asti in 1980. There he initiated the reopening of the seminary.
His resignation for health reasons was granted in 1989 by John Paul II. He died of cardiac arrest.
