history
The diocese of Asti was established in the 3rd century. On April 18, 1474, the Diocese of Asti gave up parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Casale Monferrato . In 1775 the seminary of the Asti diocese was established.
The diocese of Asti is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Turin as a suffragan .
