The Roman Catholic Diocese of Biella ( lat. : Dioecesis Bugellensis , ital. : Diocese of Biella ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Biella .
history
The diocese of Biella was established on June 1, 1772 by Pope Clement XIV with the Apostolic Constitution Praecipua demandati from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Vercelli and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Turin as a suffragan .
In 1803 the diocese was dissolved. On July 17, 1817, the Diocese of Biella was re-established by Pope Pius VII with the Apostolic Constitution Beati Petri and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Vercelli as a suffragan.
