Vittorio Piola

Vittorio Piola (born March 24, 1921 in Talonno di Invorio Inferiore , Italy , † August 6, 1993 in Biella ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Biella .

Life

After studying philosophy and Catholic theology, Vittorio Piola received the sacrament of ordination on May 27, 1944 from the Bishop of Novara , Leone Giacomo Ossola OFMCap .

On July 18, 1970, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Atella and auxiliary bishop in Novara. The Bishop of Novara, Placido Maria Cambiaghi B , donated to him on 6 September of the same year in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Novara the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the vicegerent in the diocese of Rome , Archbishop Ugo Poletti , and the auxiliary bishop in Novara, Edoardo Piana Agostinetti .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Biella on February 15, 1972. On May 15, 1986 Pope John Paul II accepted Vittorio Piola's resignation.
