Placido Maria Cambiaghi

Placido Maria Cambiaghi B (born September 18, 1900 in Monza , † December 18, 1987 in Rome ) was an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Novara .

Life

He received the in Rome on March 15, 1924 sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 15, 1953, he was appointed Bishop of Crema . He was ordained bishop on December 20 of the same year by the Cardinal Bishop of Sabina Adeodato Giovanni Cardinal Piazza ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop Carlo Confalonieri , Secretary of the Congregation for Seminars and Universities , and Giuseppe Piazzi , Bishop of Bergamo . On February 28, 1963, Placido Maria Cambiaghi was transferred to the Episcopal See of Novara. He began in the diocese to implement the decisions of the Second Vatican Council , in whose four sessions he had attended. To this end, he founded a priest council and other bodies.

Placido Maria Cambiaghi resigned from the episcopate on October 30, 1971. From 1972 to 1987 he worked for the Barnabite Curia at the Gianicolo , Rome. He was director of the National Bureau for Academic Pastoral Care.

He was buried in Novara Cathedral .
