Vice Entrant

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The vice- gentleman , also vicegerent , is the representative in administrative matters of a ruler or head of state (Latin vice 'instead of', gerere 'execute, establish').

Diocese of Rome

In the Catholic Church, the vice gentleman is an auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Rome . He is the only one to have the rank of titular archbishop and is the chief deputy of the cardinal vicar in the administration of the diocese of Rome for the pope . Since the Pope is responsible for the direction of the universal Church, the cardinal vicar is responsible for the day-to-day management tasks and the vice-gentleman takes on tasks that a vicar general usually takes on in other dioceses .
